Produced with a low budget as the singer's baccalaureate project upon her graduation from Catalonia College of Music, 2018's 'El Mal Querer' is a document following the anonymous 13th-century Occitan novel Flamenca — with each track on the album corresponding to a chapter of the book.
The album's surprise breakthrough success actually led to a massive resurgence for the novel at its backbone, and of course, launched the career of one of our current foremost international stars.
